18 West 11
New York City, USA

A townhouse designed by Hugh Hardy and built ground-up in the 1970s was redesigned to suit a small family. The many split levels get smartly connected to provide interior relations of the different functions but also maintain a sense of privacy. The house was designed with a series of split levels branching off a main, angled stair core and shaft. The exterior angles in and out on both the front and rear facades.
